【摘要】:TheFormandStyleforASTMStandardsmanualprovidesmandatoryrequirementsandrecommendedpracticesforthepreparationandcontentofASTMspecifications.Inordertopromoteconsistencyinthestyleandcontentofproductspecificationsunderitsjurisdiction,CommitteeB05recognizestheneedtoprovideasupplementarydocumentpertainingtothetypesofproductsandmaterialscoveredbyspecificationsunderitsjurisdiction.Thisguidecontainsalistofsectionstobeconsideredforinclusioninaspecificationforcopperandcopperalloys,recommendedwording,orboth,forsuchsections.AnelectronictemplateincludingcommitteeadoptedlanguageisincludedintheAppendix.Personsdraftingnewproductspecifications,ormodifyingexistingones,underthejurisdictionofCommitteeB05,shouldfollowthisguideandtherequirementsoftheFormandStyleManualtoensureconsistency.1.1ThisguidecoverstheeditorialproceduresandformandstyleforproductspecificationsunderthejurisdictionofASTMCommitteeB05onCopperandCopperAlloys.Note18212;Forstandardsotherthanproductspecifications,suchastestmethods,practices,andguides,seetheappropriatesectionsofFormandStyleforASTMStandards(BlueBook).1.2ThisguidehasbeenpreparedasasupplementtothecurrenteditionoftheFormandStyleManual,andisappropriateforusebythesubcommitteeswithinASTMCommitteeB05onCopperandCopperAlloys.ThisguideistobeappliedinconjunctionwiththeFormandStyleManual.TheAppendixcontainsacopyoftheB05electronictemplatewhichincludesadoptedlanguageforvarioussectionsandprovidesatemplatefordraftingB05productspecifications.Note28212;Thecontentsofthisguidewerepreviouslymaintainedasawhitepaperunderthetitle,x201C;ASTMCommitteeB05OutlineofFormofSpecifications.x201D;1.3Subcommitteespreparingnewproductspecificationsorrevisingexistingonesshouldfollowthepracticesandproceduresoutlinedherein,andbeguidedbythelatestspecificationscoveringsimilarcommodities.1.4IfaconflictexistsbetweenthisguideandthemandatorysectionsofthecurrenteditionoftheFormandStyleManual,theFormandStyleManualrequirementshaveprecedence.IfaconflictexistsbetweenthisguideandthenonmandatorysectionsofthecurrenteditionoftheFormandStyleManual,theguidehasprecedence.1.5Whenpatentsareinvolved,thespecificationswritershouldrefertotheFormandStyleManualsectiononpatentsandtrademarks.Also,refertopartFoftheFormandStyleManualfortrademarkinformationandthesafetyhazardscaveat.
