【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethod,whichissimilartothermalanalysistechniques,establishesaprocedurefordeterminingflammabilitycharacteristicsofcombustiblematerialssuchasplastics.1.2Thetestisconductedinalaboratoryenvironmentusingcontrolledheatingofmilligramspecimensandcompletethermaloxidationofthespecimengases.1.3Specimensofknownmassarethermallydecomposedinanoxygen-free(anaerobic)oroxidizing(aerobic)environmentataconstantheatingratebetween0.2and2K/s.1.4Theheatreleasedbythespecimenisdeterminedfromthemassofoxygenconsumedtocompletelyoxidize(combust)thespecimengases.1.5Therateofheatreleasedbycombustionofthespecimengasesproducedduringcontrolledthermalorthermoxidativedecompositionofthespecimeniscomputedfromtherateofoxygenconsumption.1.6Thespecimentemperaturesoverwhichcombustionheatisreleasedaremeasured.1.7Themassofspecimenremainingafterthetestismeasuredandusedtocomputetheresidualmassfraction.1.8Thespecimenshallbeamaterialorcompositematerialinanyform(fiber,film,powder,pellet,droplet).Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedtofacilitatematerialdevelopmentandresearch.1.9Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1ThereisnoISOequivalenttothistestmethod.
